UTG PREMIERE: SATE – “What Did I Do”

If you’ve been sleeping on SATE, it’s time to wake up. The Toronto-based songstress has been tearing up the Great White North for some time, and it won’t be long before her one-of-a-kind croon takes the states by storm.

Today, we have the esteemed pleasure of premiering the dynamic diva’s latest single, “What Did I Do,” a rollicking rock-infused number that is equally infectious and reflective. Get acquainted after the break, and let us know if you’re a fan in the comments section below.

“You know that feeling of reaching out for a friend or a loved one and having this gut feeling sense that they’re no longer in the proverbial bed with you? That’s what this [song] is about,” SATE told UTG via email. “This is about that relationship where the rug is pulled out from under you. You’re thinking everything is cool, because there’s no indication of what went wrong. So now you’re faced with that person not being beside you any longer, and you’re forced to ask the question, ‘What did I do that could be so bad?'”

Armed with an electric set of pipes and spitfire sense of pride, SATE is one artist who you’ll definitely want to keep an eye on as 2015 winds down. Follow her on Twitter, and be on the lookout for her debut album later this year.
