Near Mint To Release Modern Baseball’s Debut Album On Tape

Near Mint Records has announced plans to release Modern Baseball’s beloved debut album, Sports, on cassette.

What more can really be written or said about Sports? In terms of potential seminal indie punk records being created today, Sports ranks right up there with The Upsides or Home, Like No Place There Is. It’s the album that put the Philly rockers on the map, and it continues to find new fans with each passing week. Near Mint’s upcoming tape release is the latest in a long line of pressings, and it’s guaranteed to sell out.

Pre-orders for Sports will begin today, September 15, at 11AM EST. The label will have three exclusive variants for sale, one of which will have $1 of its proceeds forwarded to LIFT, a national organization committed to alleviate the stressors associated with poverty. The band will also have an exclusive variant available on their fall tour with PUP, Jeff Rosenstock and Tiny Moving Parts. Click here to visit the Near Mint store.
