Radiohead announce new album coming Sunday, share video for “Daydreaming”

As many speculated after the release of “Burn The Witch” earlier this week, we have a new Radiohead album coming our way. The band shared “Daydreaming,” a new song and video, and the YouTube description revealed that the album will be out on digital platforms this Sunday, May 8, at 7pm BST, which translates to 2pm EST here. Those of you who want to hold a copy in your hands will have to wait until June 17 when XL Recordings releases the album physically.

“Daydreaming” is soft and minimalistic, with some seriously amazing piano underscoring the whole thing. The track builds and builds before coming to a moving and satisfying resolution. The video finds Thom Yorke seemingly teleporting to myriad locations, from parking garages and hospitals to beaches and a snow-covered mountain. You can watch the video yourself below.

The album—whose title has yet to be revealed—will be the band’s ninth studio release and the first since 2011’s The King of Limbs. Will you be picking it up when it lands Mother’s Day afternoon? Sound off in the comments below.
