Cinematic Sunrise is calling it quits this weekend. See a press release about this below:
DEC 1 – The saying goes “all good things must come to an end” – and that is indeed the case for the band Cinematic Sunrise who have decided to call it a day. The band’s final three shows will take place in Anaheim, Hollywood, and San Diego this week.
Cinematic Sunrise features former Chiodos frontman, Craig Owens, current Chiodos keyboardist, Bradley Bell, and a rotating guest guitarist spot that has hosted Vic Fuentes of Pierce The Veil and Nick Martin of Underminded, among others. The group’s 6-song EP, A Coloring Storybook and Long Playing Record, was released on May 13th, 2008 and hit #8 on the Billboard Heatseeker’s Chart. The album was re-released with 2 additional songs on October 14th, 2008.
Earlier this year, Equal Vision pressed a limited run of 1,000 copies of the Cinematic Sunrise album on vinyl picture disc. To commemorate their final shows, the vinyl will be available for just $5 via MerchNow Dec 3rd through 6th.
Cinematic Sunrise have invited friends Johnny Craig of Emarosa, Tommy Simms of Automatic Loveletter, and Mark Rose of Spitalfield to open the final 3 shows:
