If you had any doubts mainstream was going more and more club-centric, consider this your proof.
Earlier today, Rihanna’s new Calvin Harris assisted single made its’ way online and, as you’ll hear after the jump, feels like a remix of a what could be a pretty great pop song.
I get it, people like to dance. In the past, artists would release singles, then djs would remix them, then two (or however many remixes were created) versions of the song existed. Why cut out that middle part and start with something that already sounds like a remix?
