California indie rockers J. Thoven have released a stream of their new song “City Maze” and can be heard right here on Under The Gun Review.

This epic song will be off of the group’s upcoming EP, City Maze, which UTG is highly looking forward to. The EP will hit iTunes on June 18! I had a chance to briefly speak with the group’s own Casey Lagos (Sealakes/ex. Stick To Your Guns) and here is what he had to say about this group’s formation.

“We all grew up playing music together since we were in elementary school, we all went separate ways in music.. as you know, I did my thing, most of the other guys were in a band called Janu And The Whalesharks. They had a good buzz around CA, and our drummer also played with one of the most elite drumline groups. not how important that is.. haha but ya we all went our separate ways, especially after their band had broken up. We were all spread out in different states but once we recorded this EP last summer, after much prayer and thinking everyone moved back to Orange County area to pursue the band!”
