Generally, when I think of a metal band performing a cover a song I picture many different things. Usually those things include screaming and heavy metal breakdowns. Those stereotypes don’t seem to apply to It Lives, It Breathes. With their new vocalist, Kevin Lacerda, this band has decided to take a slightly different approach to their cover of “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen. The track features Kevin singing, a pianist, and two acoustic guitar players. You can stream the track below the jump.
If you like what you hear I suggest checking out their Facebook music page to listen to some of the group’s other songs. They have a lot more going for them than just great clean vocals!
It Lives, It Breathes will be embarking on a short east coast tour later in July, you can scope out their tour dates below the video. Check and see if they will be hitting a city near you.
After you listen to the song, let us know what you think by leaving a comment! My question is, where do I get this song!

Good attempt but there are so many better covers out there and I dont know how I feel about the singer although he sounds really good on their recordings
This cover reminds of dirty diapers
This is AWESOME my friends! Great job :)
Straight cover! I hope this goes viral! <3
The guy singing here is not the same as the guy on the recordings.
