The Gaslight Anthem Discuss Video with AbsolutePunk

Our friends over at AbsolutePunk.net recently interviewed The Gaslight Anthem‘s Benny Holowitz and music video director, Kevin Slack, about Slack and TGA’s recent music video for “Handwritten”. Holowitz and Slack discussed numerous subjects ranging from the video’s message to Slack’s experience working with The Gaslight Anthem.

Holowitz explained to AbsolutePunk.net that the story for the music video,

[stems] from an idea I had about following the life of a record. How these inanimate objects hold such sway in peoples lives, and how something that meant so much to someone can mean so little to someone else. And vice versa. Records have always been a huge part of my life in many ways, and I often stare at them and wonder what their story is. This idea was a way for me to tell their story.

Handwritten drops on Tuesday via Mercury Records.
