Stolen Babies To Release New Album ‘Naught’ In September

Avant-garde cabaret metal group Stolen Babies have unveiled plans for their upcoming sophomore album, Naught. The record will be available digitally on September 18 with a physical release date penciled in for October 16. The album features typically colourful cover art courtesy of the artist Crab Scrambly, and can be viewed after the jump.

This will be Stolen Babies’ second full-length album and their first release since 2006’s acclaimed There Be Squabbles Ahead. In a recent interview, bass player Rani Sharone said “We hope the album cover brings plenty of candy coated smiles to the masses and even more warm and fuzzy feelings when they see the rest of this little gem… Naught is our mutant, not-so-well-behaved second full-length studio album and we look forward to its release!” Indeed, news of Naught‘s release date is really exciting for fans of this strikingly original band, as we haven’t heard new material since standalone track “Splatter” was streamed on the band’s myspace in 2010.

The band will also be embarking on a U.S. tour in September, playing a number of headlining dates as well as multiple shows alongside Paradise Lost, Katatonia, and The Devin Townsend Project on the Epic Kings & Idols tour. A full list of tour dates is available here.
