Alkaline Trio is officially working on the follow up to last year’s Damnesia. The currently untitled album will be produced by Bill Stevenson.
Bassist Dan Andriano previously said “We’re going to go work with Bill [Stevenson] at Fort Collins at the Blasting Room. Bill and Jason [Livermore]. We’ve all wanted to work with Bill for a long time and this is kind of the time to do it. So we’re going to go hang out there in October. Make a new record.” But it seems they’ve entered earlier than expected, and have officially begun recording.
This might be an indication of a more punk sound for the trio, as Bill Stevenson has produced records ranging from early hardcore bands like Black Flag and more recent releases like NOFX’s Self/Entitled.
