Jona Weinhofen took to Twitter late last night to comment further on the news of his departure from Bring Me The Horizon.
I am no longer a member of @bmthofficial, however I can not yet comment on the reasons why or who made the decision.

This story keeps getting more confounding the more we try to suss out of it. Our coverage of this story began yesterday when we first picked up on a since deleted tumblr post penned by Weinhofen apparently announcing his intent to leave Bring Me The Horizon.
After a lot of time and thought ive decided to leave my current position as guitarist with Bring Me The Horizon. things in the band have been very tense with a lot of disagreements between myself and certain members who i wont name.
There’s a big asterisk on this post though; many of our readers noted that the tumblr post was penned on April 1, 2011, or the day of cheesy and questionable fake internet headlines. While the post is no longer available to cite or verify, there are tweets from Weinhofen from the same date making reference to it.
Let’s backtrack a bit. Weinhofen’s tweets from yesterday would imply that he didn’t quit Bring Me The Horizon of his own volition. The second tweet cements the two tweets as being of the same coherent statement, and a genuine sounding one at that.
But is it possible that this is just an April Fools joke with serious legs? Is Weinhofen a master troll, working all the social media angles?
