HOLY SH!T: Kris Kross Is Reuniting

Yes, the boys who, in the haze of the early morning light, stumbled out of bed, put on their clothes backwards, thought, “We’re rockin’ this look,”* and subsequently had a couple of hits in the 90s  (REMEMBER THE 90S AGH), most famously “Jump”, are back.

Chris “Mac Daddy” Kelly and Chris “Daddy Mac” Smith, the two principles of Kris Kross and seen here wearing regular clothes just like they were regular, common folk, are coming together to perform at a concert honoring the 20th anniversary of So So Def Recordings, according to TMZ. The duo will be headlining a bill that also features Da Brat, Jermaine Dupri, Bow Wow, Xscape, and Jagged Edge.

At this time it looks like the show will be a one-off for Kris Kross. It’s probably for the best as most millennials would murder to get tickets to a Kris Kross show. Nostalgia and appreciation veiled in irony; it’s a deadly combination.

MTV notes that this isn’t the first time that we’ve been teased by the Krossers. There were reports that the group was working on a fourth album with Dupri back in 2000, though the untitled release never saw the light of day.
