MUSIC VIDEO: Transit – “Nothing Lasts Forever”

Transit 2013

We’re basically feeling the new Transit stuff, especially the song “Nothing Lasts Forever”. Not digging it yet? It’s a grower! Regardless, anyone who has been following this band for any length of time knows that Transit is more than one song or a singular, unassailable release to which all others in their catalog pale in comparison. They’ve grown from album to album; pretty admirable for any band, especially for one operating within the progression-unfriendly confines of the pop-punk genre.

So you had to know that we were going to give some ups to the music video when it dropped. And here it is.

The video for “Nothing Lasts Forever” is nothing if not charming. The visual treatment works as a concise summation of what being a pop-punk youth in The Bay State must be like. Hanging out in the backyard while your breath hangs in the air, milling around the Boston Commons with nary a female in sight, and jamming with your friends in somebody’s attic. Yep, sounds about right.
