SWOON: Lana Del Rey Releases “Summer Wine” Video

Many members of the UTG family are located in Boston, so posting today will likely be impacted by the ongoing events in the city. That said, we will do our best to keep you informed as time allows. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

Amidst all the chaos unfolding across our country and world this week, it’s always nice to find moments of serenity that allow for a brief escape from all the noise. This morning that moment found its way to our worried staff in the form of Lana Del Rey’s new video for her cover of Nancy Sinatra’s “Summer Wine.” The clip has the same vintage aesthetic of Rey’s previous videos, but the way it pairs with the music makes everything feel new in its own special way. It’s as if Del Rey’s voice was made to cover Nancy Sinatra, and personally I hope this is only the start of many covers to come.

You can find “Summer Wine” on the deluxe edition of Lana Del Rey’s debut album, but the real question should be when truly new music from the vocalist will surface. It will be interesting to see how she further develops her brand, if at all, and how her fans react. We’ll update soon as new information becomes available.
