Experimental indie pop group Of Montreal are hitting the road once again this fall to tour through North America. Surf band La Luz will be joining them on most dates. See the full list of dates after the jump.

This tour will be in support of their upcoming album, lousy with sylvianbriar (it really is all lowercase), due out October 8 through Polyvinyl Record Co., including 1,500 copies of clear green vinyl. The only music we’ve heard so far from it has been”Fugitive Air” which you can listen to here. It’s in the vein of 70s psych folk rock, nothing too out of ordinary for the band, and was recorded on a 24-track tape machine in a home studio. The rest of the album should sound similarly, as frontman Kevin Barnes said:

“I knew I wanted the process to be more in line with the way people used to make albums in the late 60s and early 70s. I wanted to work fast and to maintain a high level of spontaneity and immediacy. I wanted the songs to be more lyric driven, and for the instrumental arrangements to be understated and uncluttered.”
