Big Sean Streams “First Chain” Featuring Nas and Kid Cudi

With just over a week to go before his new album hits stores, Detroit native Big Sean has blessed the internet with another taste of new material by releasing a chill jam entitled, “First Chain.”

Featuring the all-star pairing of Nas and Kid Cudi, the latest Hall Of Fame track to surface online ahead of the album’s August 27 street date is all about remembering where you came from. Every line uttered, be it chorus or verse, deals with recognizing who inspired you to do what you do and never losing focus of the reasons you keep trying even when times get hard. For Sean, a lot of this plays into the current economic troubles plaguing his hometown of Detroit, and like the master wordsmith he is Sean finds numerous ways to incorporate this similarity in the track. The contributions of Nas and Cudi are both impressive, but unlike “Control” Sean makes sure no one outshines him on this one. You can stream the track below.

Considering the release date of Hall Of Fame is essentially a week away at this point, I certainly wouldn’t be surprised if a number of additional tracks surfaced online in the days ahead. Stay tuned.
