Everyone’s all upset about Ben Affleck being Batman and is missing out on the good news that one of the greatest actors of recent memory is going to play a great villain. Bryan Cranston, best known as either Walter White on Breaking Bad or Malcolm’s father on Malcolm in the Middle, will play Lex Luthor in a series of films. The contract he signed is reportedly a six film deal, and will start with an appearance in the upcoming sequel to Man of Steel.
The only part that’s weird to think about is that Ben Affleck’s deal was reportedly for thirteen appearances. Apparently, the world needs Affleck seven more times than they need Cranston. Either way, it’s good to see a great character actor get a great character so soon after his main show has ended. Breaking Bad‘s series finale is just five episodes away.
