Paul Shaffer’s legendary late-night band on David Letterman may have some competition after Passion Pit performed an entire set at the Ed Sullivan Theater.

The band played the set in some snazzy suits, although it was a little late. The event was actually scheduled to happen last year, but vocalist Michael Angelakos assured the crowd they were making good on their promise this time around. Passion Pit’s most recent album Gossamer came out last July and features hit tracks such as “Take A Walk” and “Carried Away.”
