Members of Brooklyn’s The Yellow Dogs Shot And Killed

Three members of the indie band The Yellow Dogs were shot and killed this morning in their New York apartment.

First reports said the shooter was a fellow member of the band; recent updates say that he was a member of another band, Free Keys. Raefe Ahkbar allegedly went to the apartment that the members of The Yellow Dogs shared and opened fire. Three members were killed and a fourth one, who was shot twice, is expected to make it. Ahkbar not only killed three innocent people, but took his life as well.

No one knows the reason behind these murders, but early reports are speculating it was over money.

The Yellow Dogs were from Iran, and part of the Tehran underground scene; underground because it’s illegal to play rock music in that country. They headed to the US a few years ago and were granted asylum.
