It’s no secret Childish Gambino – aka Donald Glover – has a new album on the horizon, and this morning another new song titled “Sweatpants” found its way online. Unfortunately, it was not part of the promotional plan.

“fuck this, Glover tweeted. “im trying to create one of the more imaginative rollouts, and other people’s lust for money and impatience is ruining it. to be clear, im not talking about my fans, or blogs, or anyone who post my music after leaks. i want my music out. but it could’ve been better.”

Because The Internet is still weeks away from its scheduled released date, and as far as we can tell “Sweatpants” is the first song to hit the net without the approval of Glover. That said, it’s one of the most ego-driven songs in his catalog and offers additional insight into the mind of the rapper so many think they understand. We love it, and something tells me you will as well. You can stream the song, in full, at the end of this post.

No word yet on when fans can expect another single to surface from Because The Internet, but in less than a month we’ll have the entire album to have and hold and discuss at length.
