When you hear “acoustic version,” your first thought is probably of a quiet rendition of the song in question with a single guitar and hushed vocals. If so, Driver Friendly‘s acoustic version of “Run” will be a welcome surprise. Instead of guitars, the stripped down track relies on melodica, omni-chord, and other unconventional instruments, and it loses none of the energy of the original. Check out a music video for the song after the break.
The original version of “Run” appears on Peaks + Valleys, the Texas group’s first release for Hopeless Records. Pick up a copy right here.
