It’s the first day back from the weekend, and like every Monday the highlights of the days past are slowly beginning to make the rounds online.
You may not have known it, but between Friday and now the 2013 Video Game Awards took place. Amidst the festivities, which were broadcast, the Odd Future offshoot known as EarlWolf (Tyler, The Creator and Ear Sweatshirt) graced the stage to perform their Grand Theft Auto V contribution, “Garbage.” It was the first – and probably only – performance of the song to happen since the game hit shelves earlier this year. You can view video from the event below.
Both Tyler, The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt released critically acclaimed albums in 2013. “Garbage” finds a balance between their two unique brands of hip-hop, and even though the ferocity of the lyrics do not necessarily translate to the awards show stage, the passion each emcee possesses for their music is clear. Comment below and let us know your thoughts on the performance.
