‘Conjuring’ Spinoff ‘Annabelle’ Casts Its Leads

New Line Pictures has announced the two stars that will lead the highly-anticipated Conjuring spinoff, Annabelle.

According to a new story on TheWrap, Annabelle Wallis (Peaky Blinders) and Ward Horton (Wolf Of Wall Street) have signed on to star in the spinoff, which will focus on the story of the doll (‘Annabelle’) featured in James Wan’s 2013 hit film. John Leonetti is directing from a script by Gary Dauberman, with Peter Safran on board as producer. Wan will have an executive producer credit.

The Conjuring, which grossed $318 million worldwide, starred Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, who are called upon to help a Rhode Island family that is being terrorized by a haunted house. Annabelle is one of many possessions the couple keeps in a room dedicated to objects used by demonic forces. There is currently no synopsis for the spinoff.

Both Wallis and Horton are new faces to UTG, but you can expect to be seeing a lot more of them in the months ahead. Follow UTG on Twitter for updates.
