Our buddies Drew and Alex, aka The Chainsmokers, aren’t familiar with the phrase “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” They prove that time and time again by taking songs by up-and-coming artists that many would argue are already perfect and adding their own tweaks and twists to eventually produce reworked versions that listeners seem to unanimously approve of. And as many of their remixes are considered “official,” it seems that the artists that created the originals approve as well. And why wouldn’t they? Drewlex puts out fine work. The type of stuff you can take home to meet the family.

Swedish synth-pop trio NONONO have blown up exponentially in the past year with their inescapable single “Pumpin’ Blood” playing pretty much everywhere. Hell, the video has 3.3 million views on YouTube. Over 4 months ago, The Chainsmokers took advantage of the opportunity to create a clubbed out cut of “Pumpin’ Blood” with some additional trap accents for you to shake your ass to, and today it finally got released, so get your dancing shoes on and click through the jump to get your blood pumpin’ with The Chainsmokers and feel FREE to download the track as well.

This song was a huge smash in 2013 and really put NONONO on the map as one of 2014’s possible big breakout indie acts and we were well familiar with the original when they approached us months ago. The most appealing bit was the fact it had so many pieces to it, which from a remixes perspective always makes it more interesting. Lately, we have been really trying to approach songs in sections, in that each part really has a focus and accomplishes it leading into the next section — people like Alesso do this really well, and we think with this song and the original’s components we were really able to create a very complete feeling track with a lot of different pieces, that takes you on a real journey in terms of the different energies between our signature pluck and the piano leads and the trap portion…
