Being As An Ocean Announce Sophomore Album

California quintet Being As An Ocean made waves in the melodic hardcore world in 2012 with their debut full-length, Dear G-d…, a dynamic record defined by vocalist Joel Quartuccio’s alternating use of guttural screams and slam poetry-style spoken word. Following two years of heavy touring and some recent lineup changes, the band will return this spring with the follow-up, titled How We Both Wondrously Perish.

The album was recorded at Glow In The Dark Studios in Atlanta, Georgia with producer Matt McClellan, and it will be released on May 6 through InVogue Records. A first single and pre-order information are still forthcoming, but for now, check out the album artwork after the break.

Being As An Ocean are currently wrapping up a European tour with Hundredth and Counterparts. Following a couple shows in Russia, they will return to the United States for headlining run with A Lot Like Birds, My Iron Lung, and more. Check out the dates right here.
