With festival season on the horizon, the Alabama Shakes have announced a spring tour on which the band will hit a number of notables. The band will head out in late April for about two and a half weeks for dates in DC and eight states.

The festivals on the route are the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, and Shaky Knees Fest. Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires and The Deslondes will support on the non-festival dates.

The band has yet to even name the followup to 2012’s acclaimed debut Boys & Girls, but will no doubt be playing some new material at these dates. Sure they gave us “Pocket Change” last year, but we’re due for something new soon.
