Katy Perry‘s latest hit single is “Dark Horse,” which is taken from her recently released album, Prism. She recently premiered the music video for her song, but immediately after its release people began to criticize it for being blasphemous. The scene in question has Perry depicted as an Egyptian queen and she smites a man with lightning who is wearing a pendant that says “Allah” on it. Shazad Iqbal launched a Change.org petition to have the video removed from YouTube. After garnering 65,000 signatures Perry (or whoever manages her videos) removed the pendant from the video. The scene itself is still there, but the pendant is now missing. You can watch the edited version of the video below the jump.
