Taking Back Sunday Release New Song, “Stood A Chance”

Taking Back Sunday‘s sixth full-length album and second since reuniting with their classic lineup, titled Happiness Is, is due out March 18 on Hopeless Records, and earlier this morning, the Long Island band released the album’s second single, “Stood a Chance.” You can stream the track right here.

“Stood a Chance” is markedly more upbeat than the lead single, “Flicker Fade.” Shaun Cooper’s steady bass line anchors the verse, and the rousing chorus and punchy guitar lines make for a final product that sounds more like vintage Taking Back Sunday than anything on the group’s 2011 self-titled record.

The new single is available now on iTunes, and you can pre-order Happiness Is on CD and vinyl right here.
