Remember high school? Ashtabula, Ohio’s CityCop most definitely do, as shown by the lyrics to “X,” the featured track in this interview the band did with Impose Magazine. The post-hardcore outfit have announced pre-orders for their vinyl reissue of 2011’s The Hope in Forgiving and Giving Up Hope on Flannel Gurl Records. The release date for the album is May 6. Flannel Gurl is also running a pre-order contest in which one winner will be selected to win a test press of Seasons and a copy of Flannel Gurl’s entire discography. Another winner will be selected to win a test pressing of The Hope In Forgiving and Giving Up Hope.
The band also told of a full U.S. tour currently in the works for this summer. They’re currently on a midwest / central U.S. tour with Free Throw. Last but not least, CityCop revealed the follow-up to their 2013 split with Les Doux and 2011 EP Seasons entitled Loner to be released later this summer.
