Watch Arctic Monkeys Cover Tame Impala’s “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards”

While in the midst of their current tour across Australia, Arctic Monkeys stopped by Triple J to deliver their contribution to the radio station’s cover series aptly titled “Like A Version.” Siding with a cover of Tame Impala‘s “Feels Like We Only Go Backwards” couldn’t be more appropriate since the two groups will be sharing the stage at London’s Finsbury Park on May 23 and 24.

Within the cover, frontman Alex Turner tastefully draws attention away from the unnecessary layers of the track by relying off of his acoustic guitar and psychedelic-tinged voice, making for an almost haunting experience.
