Michael Franzino (A Lot Like Birds) Launches Solo Indiegogo Campaign

Earlier today, Michael Franzino of A Lot Like Birds launched an Indiegogo campaign through which he hopes to “write the softer musical counterpart” to his usual endeavors. For more details, peek below the jump.

“For the past five years, I have written and performed music for the band A Lot Like Birds and am ready to explore and share a different side to my songwriting,” said the guitarist. “In an attempt to fully immerse myself into the creative process and produce the most honest work I am capable of, I intend to isolate myself from society for two months late this summer.”

Currently, Franzino is hoping to raise ten thousand dollars — over half will go to recording, while the remainder will be spent on room and board, food, production efforts, and the help of other musicians. If you’d like to contribute, you can do so here.

After spending some time with ALLB’s latest record, No Place, I for one am quite intrigued to see what Franzino has up his sleeve, especially when it seems like it will be notably different from his regular efforts. If you feel the same way, let us know in the replies.
