Do Your Part And Help Gwar Open Their Very Own Bar

GWAR have been through a lot in recent years, and through it all the global music community has been there to support them. Now, just months after the loss of frontman Dave Brockie, the members of Gwar have partnered with restauranteur Travis Coxton to plan what may be their biggest project to date.

The GWARbar will be a fun, unique restaurant in Richmond, Virginia that will change the dinning experience in much the same way that GWAR changed the concert going experience. An Indiegogo page was launched this week to fund the creation of the bar with help from the band, and it aims to raise a total of $50,000 by June 21. The incentives for donating are numerous and include, but are not limited to: $100 for a free entree upon entry to the restaurant, $750 for a cooking lesson with band member BalSac, and $1000 to “feel like Norm” and own a seat at the bar. At the time of this post GWAR had already raised a little over $10,000 towards the bar’s creation. Several UTG team members have already donated and we encourage those of you who are able to part with a few bucks to do the same.
