Axl Rose Claims Guns N’ Roses Have Completed Another Album (And Then Some)

Despite rumors surfacing last month that the aging rock frontman would be calling it quits in the near future, Axl Rose is making headlines this week with the news he and his iconic rock band may soon have new music on shelves.

According to a new interview between Rose and our friends at Revolver, Guns N’ Roses have already completed work on a follow-up to Chinese Democracy. “We recorded a lot of things before Chinese was out,” Rose said. “We’ve worked more on some of those things and we’ve written a few new things. But basically, we have what I call kind of the second half of Chinese.”

Rose later added, “That’s already recorded. And then we have a remix album made of the songs from Chinese. That’s been done for a while, too.”

The last time Rose made headlines was back in May when he publicly denied claims he was considering retirement, despite the fact the band are currently in residency at the Hard Rock Casino in Las Vegas until July. When asked about when fans can expect new music, Rose replied “after Vegas, we’re going to start looking very seriously at what we’re doing in that regard.”

While the world waits to know when (or if) Guns N’ Roses will release new music we can confirm that the group has at least one more release on the horizon. Appetite For Democracy 3D: Live from the Hard Rock Casino – Las Vegas, a feature length concert film, is expected to be released before the end of the year.
