Post-rock will always uphold its timelessness thanks to its slow, nature-like unravel and its lyric-less universal language (d’aww, how sweet). There, standing tall near the front of that genre, is Texas five piece This Will Destroy You. On September 16, they will drop a new album, titled Another Language, via Suicide Squeeze (or Holodeck if you’re looking for a cassette).

The band’s beautiful new single “Dustism” is streaming over at Stereogum now. “Dustism” spends its first half building a gentle wave of softly padded guitar that retreats to a false ending before gearing up for what becomes a crushing climax the band is known to perfect. It keeps away from being a winter-only style that much of the genre weds itself to. Considering they’re from Texas, that may be why. It’s the ideal teaser for Another Language, proving we’ve got a lot to look forward to — especially considering just three years ago the band called it quits.
