The Juan MacLean (feat. LCD Soundsystem’s Nancy Whang) Announce New Album, Share “A Place Called Space”

It’s the middle of the week and that’s a good enough reason to dance. Considering The Juan MacLean (the duo of John MacLean and former LCD Soundsystem member Nancy Whang) just shared a new single, you now have the music for your celebration, too.

For the first time since the band’s 2011 odds and ends collection Everybody Get Close, The Juan MacLean will be releasing a new LP. The record, called In a Dream, comes out September 16 via DFA. A press release describes it as being Whang’s “triumph” and “the Nancy Show,” so it’s reasonable to expect the same long-form, electric buzzing, start-to-finish dance script that we got out of LCD Soundsystem, only without the laundry list preaching. The first taste we get of this is “A Place Called Space” and it checks off all those boxes. Get ready. We smell a great full length on the rise.
