Fall Under The Spell Of Knuckle’s Dirty Rock With “Living Hell”

I made it a point over the past month to pay more attention to the up and coming artists whose press releases flood my inbox on a regular basis. In a perfect world I would listen to every single promo I received, but with 200+ messages coming in each day, allotting that much time to music discovery is simply impossible. I do click through 20 or so new tracks each day, and today I stumbled upon something I simply had to share.

Knuckle are the latest product of the underground UK rock scene. The group formed after a chance meeting at a Halloween 2013 gig where drummer Ben Wallbanks was wearing a pair of tights coupled with a fetching potato sack on his head and guitarist Jonny Firth was dressed as plain old Jonny Firth. The connection was instant, and not long after, Knuckle came kicking and screaming into the world with a dirty garage rock take on blues that demands to be heard. Their first single, “Living Hell,” offers the kind of intoxicating riff that is guaranteed to leave every fan of The Black Keys and similar acts on their knees begging for new material. It’s coming, of course, but for now “Living Hell” is all the recorded material that the world has to enjoy from the duo known as Knuckle. You can stream the song below:

Knuckle are already gaining a reputation for explosive live sets and our friends in the UK and Europe have a number of opportunities to see them perform this fall.
