If you haven’t listened to the latest M.I.A. album, the banger-laden Matangi, please visit that. It’s worth the time.
After you’ve done that, return here for this new M.I.A. track – kind of. Per Consequence of Sound, she’s teamed up with The Partysquad for “Gold.” It isn’t as golden as “Only 1 U” or “Bad Girls,” but it’s a fun, sub-two minute beat. The Partysquad leads the way, as any party squad should.
“Gold” comes off The Partysquad Summer Mixtape 2014, which also features such M.I.A. fare as “Double Bubble Trouble” and a “Double Bubble Trouble” dub. Also included are Wiz Khalifa, an Iggy Azalea remix, a Lil Jon edit, a Kanye remix, and much more weirdness. Check out the mix here, and save it for your next party rave, or sleepover.
