Young Statues impressed many last spring with the release of their EP, Age Isn’t Ours, and now they’re ready to do it all over again with a new sound and new full-length titled The Flatlands Are Your Friend.
After giving a listen to the album’s lead single that Stereogum streamed this morning, it’s easy to hear and recognize the evolution undertaken by this Philadelphia quartet. Some might cry foul at the band’s steps taken towards a more atmospheric sound, but we beg to differ. “Run The River Dry” can be checked out following the jump.
The Flatlands Are Your Friend will be released on October 21 through Run For Cover Records. Click here for pre-orders.
