Rest In Peace: Rick Rosas (Neil Young Bassist, Session Musician) Dead At 65

With a heavy heart, we are learning that Rick Rosas has passed away at the age of 65. The legendary session musician is perhaps best known for his long-time work as the bassist for Neil Young.

Rosas is one of folk’s many unsung heroes; the bassist has played alongside artists like Jerry Lee Lewis, Buffalo Springfield, Etta James, Crazy Horse, and Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young. Rosas met Neil Young while on tour with Joe Walsh at Farm Aid in 1987. While playing for Young, he appeared on several releases between 1988 and 2009.
