The First ‘To Write Love On Her Arms’ Movie Trailer Is Here!

Late in October of this year, the founder of To Write Love On Her Arms, Jamie Tworkowsky, announced that a film based on his non-profit organization that aims to support those struggling with depression, addiction, self-injury, and suicide would finally see the light of day. After being in the works for a lengthy four years, Tworkowski delivered the announcement to the public by sharing a letter from Sony Pictures’ Senior Vice President, Dan Primozic. The internet soon went crazy.

Scheduled for a March 2015 release, the TWLOHA movie, formerly titled Renee, is inspired by the story of Renee Yohee and her journey to overcoming self-harm compulsion, as well as drug/alcohol abuse. Yohee, who will be portrayed by Kat Dennings (Thor, Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist), was also the same woman whose story inspired Tworkowski, who will be played by Chad Michael Murray (One Tree Hill), to initially launch To Write Love On Her Arms.

The film will feature music by Travie McCoy (who makes a cameo on the trailer), Flint Eastwood, Corbin Bleu (who also sees a major role in the film), and many more.

The trailer, found below, showcases a beautiful snippet of the much anticipated film. Be sure to check back for updates on the film’s official release date. You can now watch the trailer below.
