Cartel Frontman Will Pugh Is (Finally) Working On A Solo Album

Don’t fret, dear readers. I’m being honest when I tell you there is no lie in that headline. The Will Pugh solo album you always thought might happen is actually on its way to becoming a reality.

Early this morning, September 2, Cartel vocalist Will Pugh set Twitter ablaze when he revealed plans for a solo project. “Yours truly is starting to cook up some tunes for my (dare I say it) solo project,” he tweeted. “It’s been a long time coming but it’s on deck.”

Fans have been clamoring for a solo album from Pugh since the hype surrounding Cartel began to cool off, but before now there has been no mention of any such release being in the works. Maybe Cartel’s recent 10-year tour for Chroma gave Pugh the kick in the ass he needed to finally put pen to paper. Whatever the case, we’re certainly looking forward to hearing some new material in the months ahead. Stay tuned.
