Skylab 3, the alias of British producer Ben Frascina, has quietly been making waves for some time now. Earlier this week he released the video for “A View From Above,” the lead single from his upcoming debut album of the same name. You can watch the video below.

The track itself is an orchestral, moody jam, with a number of great VST instruments and top notch production creating a song that reveals something new about itself on each listen. It’s worth closing your eyes and putting “A View From Above” on repeat to fully appreciate the complexity of the music. The video is equally noteworthy, and follows a seemingly ordinary day in the life of a nondescript man until things take a surprising turn. The video works with the song to create a story that doesn’t need dialogue or backstory to work. Director Nick Richards’ camera work is fantastic, and the video is definitely a unique and fascinating experience.
