Tampa, Florida’s Tides of Man certainly aren’t the first band to lose their singer, but instead of simply looking for a replacement, the post-hardcore band chose to carry on as an instrumental act. So far, the transition seems to be working out well for them. A new full-length, titled Young and Courageous, is due out February 4, and you can stream a new song from the album over at AbsolutePunk.
“Hold Still” shows just how capable Tides of Man are as musicians. The track features a strong guitar melody and excellent dynamic transitions, all of which build up to an expansive ending that washes over the listener. After you stream the song, head over the group’s Bandcamp page to preorder the new album.
