G-Eazy has been teasing the 2014 release of his debut album for several months, but for whatever reason the record is not quite ready for release. So, in an attempt to show fans how thankful he is for the support, G has decided to share three new, completely free tracks that will not be appearing on his eventual album release.
Kicking things off with a track that celebrates the good life, G-Eazy began rolling out new material this afternoon with the release of “Last Night.” The track features Kyle and Devon, with the latter providing angelic croons over a repetitive chorus of the line “I Swear last night was a movie.” You can stream and download “Last Night,” for free, below.
Anyone familiar with G-Eazy’s early work will know “Last Night” falls right in line with the sound the California based rapper has been promoting for years. It carries a laid back vibe, like something you would expect to see during a summertime montage, accompanied by lyricism that oozes with confidence throughout. If this what we can expect on These Things Happen, G could very soon become the biggest name in hip-hop.
