It might just be me, but it seems that there has been a significant increase in bands being robbed of their possessions while they are on the road. Most of these groups can only afford to have an old van and a hitched trailer to carry around their gear, and when someone wants something it’s easy enough to take some bolt cutters to a padlock. Some bands lose more than others, and in the instance of Driver Friendly they lost something pretty big.
The other night, someone stole the band’s trailer off their van at SXSW, which contained most of their gear. They posted some details about the trailer and a picture of it for people to keep a lookout for. You can view their statement and the picture below the jump.
Last night some horrible people did an awful thing and stole our trailer with a lot of our gear in it. If you see a 6×10 Texas license plate 21760M trailer let us know! #thissucks #NOTdriverfriendly — at SXSW 2014.
