In two weeks, Spoon will drop their brand new album, They Want My Soul — their first new record in four years. We’ve already heard (and been listening to relentlessly) album single “Do You,” and today we finally get a chance to watch accompanying footage in the song’s new music video.
Directed by Hiro Murai, the video is a beautiful, continuous long shot that paces around a car frontman Britt Daniel is driving. He’s bruised, battered, and clearly exhausted, but we don’t know the reason. Keep your eyes on the screen while he cruises down a burning Sunset Boulevard to find out why. As Murai told Urban Outfitters (who helped put out the video), “Not to get super heady about a music video concept, but I’m really interested in a pocket moment that takes place in a doomsday world.”
