Mesa, Arizona alternative rock institution, Jimmy Eat World, will begin recording their new album next month. This is according to JEW drummer, Zach Lind, who responded to a fan’s Twitter question concerning whether or not the “Sweetness” group would be working on a new album or a greatest hits album in the near future.
Lind responded last week,
The forthcoming album by the quartet will be their eighth and will follow-up 2010’s Invented.
Invented was one of Jimmy Eat World’s more critically albums. BBC Music reviewer, Mike Haydock, celebrated Invented, claiming,
Jimmy Eat World have always been sentimental: they tug on the heart strings with yearning melodies that pound you into snivelling submission. But, crucially, they also know how to rock out.
In a way, Invented brought back many long-time JEW fans who jumped the band’s wagon following their lackluster 2007 release, Chase the Light. Time will only tell if JEW can keep up the moment on their eighth album.
