It is sad to see the passing of Michael Jackson, but reality kicks in once the bill is handed out for his funeral services…ouch.
The Associated Press reports that Los Angeles spent $1.4 million on city services for Tuesday’s memorial service for Michael Jackson, including $1.1 million in overtime pay for 4,173 police officers at the Staples Center, Forest Lawn cemetery and elsewhere. So far, the city says it has received about $17,000 in donations from fans towards those costs.
