The Last Bison and Altar TV got together while in Austin, Texas for SXSW this year. The end result of this collaboration turned out to be a wonderful live performance of The Last Bison’s “Woodcutter’s Son” on Altar TV’s Ballroom Sessions.
Amazingly enough, even while playing an older song in their repertoire, the band still sounds almost exactly like their first record, Quill, during this performance. Likewise, this is some of the best work Altar TV has ever done.
The Last Bison’s new record, Inheritance, is out now on Republic Records. It features a lot of older songs from Quill, but not this one, so soak it in.
Pick up Inheritance on iTunes and check out The Last Bison’s performance of “Woodcutter’s Son” below.
