We have been swooning over Betty Who since her video for “Somebody Loves You” found its way in front of our eyes earlier this year. It was less than two months ago that we were able to get our hands on her debut EP, The Movement, and already we’ve learned the Australian export turned New York resident is hard at work on her next release.
Peter Thomas, who worked with Betty on The Movement, let the cat out of the bag on Monday when he tweeted that work had officially begun on Who’s next release. Thomas posted, “today was technically day 1 of the next @bettywhomusic EP. first song sounds like ABBA and early Prince and there’s a guitar solo (not mad)” that evening, which Betty herself retweeted earlier today.
No word yet on when fans can expect new music from Betty Who, but The Movement is still available for free download to anyone who has yet to discover its modern take on 80s pop sensibilities. You can view Betty’s new video for “You’re In Love” below.
